Today, on “Our Midwestern Life” I’m chatting with Dr. Abigail Borron, an assistant professor at the University of Georgia.
Even though we talk about food insecurity quite a bit in this episode, my conversation with Abigail is really about the stories we tell ourselves about those who are different from us, whether those differences are political, racial, religious, socioeconomic, etc. Abigail has helpful insight into how those stories affect our perception of what is going on in our communities, cities, states and world. Through listening to Abigail tell her own story of research and teaching, I know you’ll walk way ready to listen to those unlike yourself with a desire to understand and be shaped by them.
Here’s a photo from her time in Romania.
Here’s a blog post I wrote about the research I assisted Abigail with while she was working on her Ph.D.
